Tanabata is a bright and colorful time in Japan.

This year the Grade 2 and Grade 3 students made special decorations using English and displayed them in the common areas.

The Grade 2 students are learning to write the alphabet from A to Z. They write beautifully! As the first step in reading they are learning “phonics” and matching the English sounds to the letters.

What  is the first letter of your name? What English words start with that letter?

The Grade 3 students have learned “I want to”. They learned “I want to go to…..” and “I want to eat….” and they learned to say their future dream – I want to be…..”

They wrote very neatly and drew beautiful pictures. What great dreams Grade 3!
