Describing people in English(2年生 英会話)

What color is his hair?

What color are her eyes?

Today the Grade 2 students learnt how to describe people in English.

First, let’s sing Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. Touch each body part. Be careful! Don’t mix up eyes and ears. Oh no! The song is getting faster. Can you keep up?

Next, let’s play Karuta in English.

Put your hands on your head and listen carefully.

The Grade 2 students are learning plurals too.

Be careful! Listen carefully. Did you hear “an eye” or  “eyes”.

So fast! Who was first?

No need to fight. Let’s do Janken in English.

Rock, scissors, paper. One, two, three.

Let’s check. Is this the right card?

Now let’s learn how to make sentences to describe ourselves and other people..

Choose one word from each column.

A: My, his or her.

B: what part of the body?

C: Is it one thing or 2? Do we choose is or are?

D: What size, length or color?

Suddenly you have made a sentence all by yourself.

Now let’s practice!

Can you describe your English teachers?

How about your family or your favorite athlete or even your favorite character?

Keep practicing and have fun talking about your favorite people in English!
