First Grade – the first week

The new first grade students had a very busy week, making new friends and learning many new things and doing many things for the first time at Elementary School.

There were special decorations for the first grade – first rabbits and flowers, and then a very cute miniature school scene.

The first grade students toured the school.

It is so big! Don’t get lost.

Walk in two lines and keep to the right going down the stairs!

The students meet principal Ogiwara and tour the Principal’s office.

Going past the teacher’s room.

Let’s enjoy the Hinode Aquarium and the English notice board.

The first lunch time at elementary school.

Get your lunch bags out.

Don’t forget to line up and wash your hands.

Lunch boxes are ready.

Let’s drink milk or tea.

Put your hands together and say a special thank you for the food. “Itadakimasu!”

It’s fun to eat our lunch together.

When we finish eating, clean up carefully and put our lunch bag away.

The first playtime!

Listen carefully while the first grade teachers teach us the rules.

The rules keep us all safe.

Thank you to the teachers for the great demonstration.
Now it’s time to play.

Please always be kind to the rabbits.

The teachers teach us rules to keep us safe at school and the police teach us rules to be safe on the roads.
We learned why we should not run on the road and why cars cannot stop suddenly.
Always be safe please!

Finally the First Grade students had their first English lesson and got their beautiful new English textbooks. Let’s learn about the world together.

Look at the pretty Sakura flower. That is the Core class. We will carefully study the core of English while helping each other bloom like beautiful flowers.

The exploring boy is the sign of the Explorer class. Enjoy and expand your English world brave Explorers.

Wow! That was a busy and interesting first week for the First Graders. It was a very exciting start to a wonderful school life.
