This month the English notice board is showing Japanese summer festivals.

Thank you notice board committee (掲示板委員会）for your beautiful decorations.

It`s the Star Festival. on July 7th for only one day each year, they meet in the milky way.

Put up the sasa bamboo branch and celebrate.

There is a beautiful song for star festival. Let`s sing in English too!

“Rustling of the bamboo leaves

Swaying under the houses eaves

Oh how the stars are twinkling

Gold and silver grains of sand”

 Write your wish on colored paper and hang it on the bamboo branch.

May your wish come true.

We can enjoy many things in summer festivals.

Fireworks, goldfish scooping, and shaved ice.

What flavor shaved ice do you like? Strawberry, Blue Hawaii or melon?
